Interesting he said low power, low noise, and low heat. That was definitely a reference to AMD's new 290X (likely) being the opposite.

I smell a GTX 780 price drop incoming. Unless the plan on charging $750-800 - which would really suck..

I was almost certain they wouldn't do another stupid Titan card. 780ti is probably the Titan core with 3GB VRAM and higher base/boost clocks than 780 has now. Probably take over the $650 price slot and 780 will get a price cut.

Looks like they'll be fighting it out against AMD tooth and nail

I dislike vsync and always use frame caps. Gsync looks decent man, my only thought is that it will only turn up in TN panels like 120hz does.. which sucks because I won't use it then.

G-Sync is awesome. I vaguely remember saying that someone needed to do this back in a vsync discussion thread.

Too much up in the air right now to plan my next GPU purchase. I will not be early adopting this round until I see how Mantle and Gsync play out.

Higher performance form something like mantle may not matter anymore if Gsync allows smoothness at a big variety of framerates.

He did fail to mention price. I think it would be crazy of them to not drop the 780 price down to whatever AMD is going to sell the 290.

I hope not.

It's apparently hitting retail shelves this November, and it's just one step below the company's super high-end GPU, the Titan.
My guess: 2496 cores. (GTX 780: 2304, GTX Titan: 2688)

should drop titan altogether. GTX 780 @ 500 and GTX 780ti full 2880 cores and 6GB for $599

Yeah this. If it's not a Titan core and just one additional SMX... /shake my head. No point to that. Just look at Titan vs 780 at the same clocks, the difference is less than 10%, this will be a 5% boost over the 780 then and maybe a bit more from clocks.

Needs to be Titan core.

I just want to get my hands on Gsync. I wish I could remember what thread had all the talk about Vsync, and 120hz a few months back.

I swear I made a post where I said that monitors needed to switch refresh rate on the fly to match what the GPU was outputting. People said I was dumb.

I'm guessing it's a fully unlocked GK110 at 925-950mhz boost speeds, and perhaps 7.0 gbps vram. With the leaks of Hawaii, I don't think Nvidia can play it safe with the gtx785ti if they want the undisputed performance crown AND want to charge a price premium.

It's nice to see AMD going bigger on the die size. This is going to be a 4890 vs. gtx285 scenario again. Prices should get some decent drops before next gen cards hit, thus putting pressure on next gen cards out of the gate.

G-sync sounds interesting but everything else announced was not really that noteworthy to me. It'll have to get into some good monitors first though, and Nvidia will need to find some way to effectively demo or show people the results for it to be successful imo.

Does look like a nice card....Competition is great! At least for those who dabble in the high end.

Another move in the current chess match between AMD and NVidia :)

Is the r290x truly AMD's best card? Maybe they have a r290xT they are holding back? Would be funny as hell if AMD planned ahead this go around.

Guys what will be announced on Monday any guess.
I think a price drop and a new tech that is related to gaming.

One thing taken from all this is that nvidia are the masters of hypebeasting and AMD but the learners. I haven't seen this much exciting news on the GPU front from both camps in a long time.

Did they mention how G-sync will work? Do we need new Geforce cards and monitors? Or just new monitors? When can we expect the first G-sync cards/monitors to appear?
