suit question

I bought my first suit a few months back for some interviews lined up...cost $600 or so, all wool, pretty damn nice. I picked up a second one, different brand, this time Ralph Lauren, but it's almost the exact same color ... wondering if I should have even gotten a second suit. It does have a vest, otherwise basically the same color.

Do ya'll have similar suit colors, does it matter? I don't ever wear a suit except interviews that require them, and death/marriage. It was a bit pre-emptive as it was a good deal, so I can return it still.

Buying a suit online isn't the smartest thing you could do. Would you buy a haircut online?

I am just wondering if people tend to have very similar color suits.

I prefer the gravity suit because it allows me to move more freely underwater.

Also, the varia suit allows me to explore places so hot I would feel the life energy draining out of me without it.

The HEV suit got me into a lot of trouble. I don't recommend that one.

To answer your question, yes, people who wear suits every day often have similar colored suits. As for buying online, I've never heard of a store that tailors suits selling online. Suits are a personal expression and you're buying service as much as a product.

I am a pretty common size, and the only thing I have to do is get the pants tailored, otherwise jacket fits great.

As for owning similar suits, my Dad had a lot of similar colors but he had to wear one everyday for work. If you are not wearing one everyday, it probably is unnecessary.

This is what I am thinking, probably save myself the $350~ and return it then.

If you spend significant money on a good suit, you need the skills and knowledge of a good tailor. If you're not, buy a tuxedo tee shirt and call it a day. Suits are a personal expression like haircuts and the way you speak. They all make an impression. Perhaps 'I bought this online and saved $75 is the wrong impression.'

I bought it online and save $400 is good enough for me. I already had the 'tailor' experience and was fitted, which is how I knew my size. I wear them so rarely I don't think I should keep two of the same color, so thanks for answering my question all .

Don't really see the point in owning two suits and both of them being of the same color. If you want dark suits, get one navy and one charcoal.

I'm glad it fits your needs. Just an fyi, all suits need tailoring whether they're your size (I would hope so!) or, not.

Just bought two online. Got close on the size then paid a tailor $70 each to fit them to me.
I read online that some were saying to buy an inexpensive suit and then spend the $200 to have it tailored.

Because those are your only two options? A shirt and tie would be more appropriate for that type of job.

If you go with a Frog Suit, make sure to follow the cleaning instructions EXACTLY. I missed the part about NOT dry cleaning it and now it's all stiff and I can only jump a fraction of the height I was able to jump before. At least it still works well underwater.

My personal favorite is the Tanuki Suit thanks to the awesome "momentarily turn into an invulnerable statue" feature, but if you want something more "hipster-chic" I'd go with the Hammer Bros. Suit. Why? Well, it's more difficult to hit things with its retro unpowered projectiles and you've probably never heard of the fire-blocking features (duck when a Pirhanna Plant shoots a fireball at you and it will deflect off your shell).

$650 suit for $118 from macy's.

When it comes to suits, to each their own. I have only 4 jackets but 20 pairs of pants, about 40 shirts, and a couple dozen ties. This allows for a myriad of combinations, all with the appearance of a unique suit. My key, as highlighted above, is a small handful of suit jackets complimented with a host of pants and shirts/ties.
