Yea, that one breaks my heart. Those suicide notes are all very sad. It's like taking a little glimpse inside each persons head at their very last moment in life. All of them have so much pain.

I feel bad for both the suicide victim and their loved ones. I can understand the anger that a loved one would feel toward the one they loved that died in this way... but I could never have a lack of compassion or understanding toward the suicide victim. They are in a whirlwind of pain up until the day they die. Their mind just snaps...

People just don't get that..

I would feel sooooooooooo wretched for even attempting to commit suicide. There's so many beautiful things in life, and I would/could NEVER put my mom through that after how hard she's fought to give me a good life

How could a person with children do this to them. I could never do something so selfish as to cause my son a lifetime of pain by doing something like this. Cowards, every last one of them.

If one of these people jumped in a bear or tiger cage and was killed, would it be an Animality?

I wouldn't. I am not suicidal or depressed, but I could do it if the need arose.

this one seems really sad to me

"Cathy -- don't come in.

Call your mother, she will know what to do.

Love

Daddy

Cathy don't go in the bedroom."

that was at the end of the letter, after the PS

it is sad that the selfish bastard didn't care about anyone but himself.

Many of those people spoke of their children, i.e., they have reproduced. I.e., their genes remain in circulation.

Are you too stupid to understand this?

whatever. most suicide victims are looking for the ultimate pity party. why should their loved ones have to be put through that? it's so selfish.

i'll never forget the look on my dad's face whenever he found out that i tried killing myself that one night... he wouldn't talk to me for almost a month. he couldn't even look at me... everytime he tried, he'd hide his face or walk away and i could see his lip start to quiver.

The ones that are looking for "the pity party" as you so aptly put it, are the ones who don't commit suicide, they are the ones who fain the attempt in an effort to gain attention from others as a way of crying out for help. That does not mean that they are not themselves in a great deal of pain and emotional distress. What ever lead you to the point of wanting to hurt yourself or contemplate suicide I would not assume was for the sake of a "pity party", but because you were needing help. It is ashame that your Dad treated you that way. I'm sure he felt some anger, but by not acknowledging your problems and emotional distress and ignoring you afterwards I don't think helps anyone. Do you think it helped you? I sure hope that you and your family got some much needed help.

i don't blame my dad for treating me the way he did... i almost killed the person he loved most in the world. i'd probably avoid looking at me, too, if i were in his shoes.

i still think that most suicide victims do it because they think that the only way they'll get the love and attention they deserve is at their funeral (ultimate pity party). the sad thing is that a lot of them try to get help and are, unfortunately, put on bullshite drugs like paxil. there needs to be more emphasis on therapy and less emphasis on drugs... but not one or the other. in this day and age, there's more of an emphasis on drugs and less on therapy... and unfortunately, some of the drugs out there catapult people into suicide (i.e. paxil).

I always thought suicide was a selfish way to solve one's OWN problems while saying a big fVck you to everyone who loved them... now I'm at least 75% sure of it.

The fact that some of these people wrote a suicide note at all tells you... "I got the last word in too."
