Suddenly got hot/got heat rash while sitting around

I was just on my computer doing some work when my whole body started to feel hot (face, ears, body, arms, etc.). I didn't think of it and went to look at the mirror and noticed that my whole face was red, my arms were red, and there was a pattern of red skin on my chest. My head hurt, and I drank water - it still kind of hurts. I took a cool shower and took my temperature (should have done it before my shower because it turned out to be 96F).

I have no idea what could have suddenly caused this, and I am kind of frightened because I'm not one to come down with any sort of illness. The fact that my whole body became red was also a scary sign. I do not have any known allergies and the last time I ate was around 4 hours ago. The only thing I've done since then besides sitting at my desk was a quick walk to the library where I stayed for 15 minutes before coming back.

Has something like this happened to anyone else? And was it anything to worry about?

Hot flashes, common around menopause. Don't worry.

There have been cases where female circumcision is botched, after which the genitals are sown up and then male genitalia implanted over the stitching. The same hormone cycles still occur, however. Do you experience nose bleeds?

Your attraction to a strong, mature male as a teenage male is further proof of sexual mis-identity. There is a highly informative thread occurring right now about such sex and gender issues. I advise that you read it and make an educated decision on what you should do next.

glad to see that i've kept you entertained enough to continue visiting this thread. the troll toll is still a reasonable medical response.

well, if you feel hot, and turn red, for some reason your capillaries in your skin are opening. a lower temperature make sense since this would radiate more body heat. As for the cause, i dunno.

I'm sorry to hear that. Did you want to go ahead and leave us next-of-kin information? I'm not sure you're going to make it.

I'm diabetic and this happens to me when my blood sugar goes wacko. It's easy to get checked out - you never know.

Or, you might have an alien being inside you who is controlling you.

While I'm sure you thought you were being funny, umm, maybe not so much.
