did you know... if you have perfect credit, credit card companys will not let you apply for their cards because they know they won't make money off of you?... well, now you know.

I have excellent (though not perfect) credit. I get trees worth of junkmail offering 0% for 6 months or on transfers and such :frown:

this is what it saids on the rejection letter i got:

"your credit bureau report shows you have no revolving accounts with a balance."

It's not a lie. Credit Card companies know that "If it's too good to be true, it probably is".

That hardly indictates that you have a perfect credit score. And if your credit is so good, why the hell are you applying for a CC then?

That doesn't mean you have perfect credit.

You don't start with perfect credit... When you do get close to a perfect credit score you will have an extensive history, and they will be stuffing your mailbox with offers.

You will on the other hand get denied for the lack of a credit history.

that means they can't tell if you can pay them back or not because you don't use the credit you have

Maybe because you have no credit history or you already have credit you're not using.

If you use a cc and pay it off every month it will show a balance.

FALSE. It means they make MORE profit off of you. People with great credit who use a CC are their biggest profit source.

Wow...

You don't have perfect credit...and people who DO have perfect credit get some pretty amazing credit card offers. So I'd say you're wrong.

And that means you probably don't have anywhere near perfect credit. It's probably respectable, but not perfect.

That is your problem. I say get 2-3 cards. Ideally for the best credit score, you'd have a couple more, but for realistic reasons I like to limit my advice to just 2-3 cards.
