Subtitles for DiVX...how come it doesn't work?

The video plays perfectly, and subs used to work perfectly before too, but now they don't show up at all. I have DiVX 5.02 installed...what's wrong?

Yup same folder. both .srt and .sub don't work for xvid and divx...sorry about the wrong forum.

Whether or not they display will depend on what program you are using as a media player, and whether you have installed the right "extras" for subtitle display. Have you installed VobSub?

edit: oops, he just said that

Oh yes, the good old days of DivX and subtitles. DVD's the way to go now.

I thought DivX was for when you want it for free

also applies to dvd.
I'm just sayin'!

people download the entire dvd these days?

Noooooo!! Never! :Q

200 down versus 4 up?!? being a bit stingy with the uploads I see.
