I'll say this right off the bat, It's call a 'hoagie' damnit! A sub is a submarine, subwoofer, substitute.. but a sub is NOT a hoagie. :p

Oh and uhh, this vote is going to be majorly skewed as only a small part of the United States actually calls a roll with meat and cheese and maybe some condiments a "hoagie".

Actually I call the roll itself a "hoagie roll" or a "hoagie". But if I have a sub, it means I have a hoagie roll with meat, cheese, etc.

Hoagie and Hero are regional terms. I believe the most common phrase is sub or submarine sandwich. Around here a grinder is a sub that has been heated in an oven.

That is because that is the only area the aliens successfully took over. :p
