While I'm at it, I've also taken the time and liberty to add Crono's dark XF theme (Crono's Shades) to the forums for those of you who want a dark theme. This is still considered experimental, so please holler if you run into any issues.
Say no more. Sssswitched.
Badass! 😎
Kind of makes you want to stop stay a while.
Thanks be to Crono and the powers that be.

Updated dark stylish theme and sent to Ryan for updating the vB theme.

Mainly just fixed a few areas where I forgot to apply color changes (one of the profile sections, the avatar/user block arrow, and one or two other things) and tweaked the main colors a bit to give better contrast to text while darkening the backgrounds for threads and forums.

Some text may still be too bright or too dark for some users - which is why it's good there's the default and the vB options for those who prefer lighter themes - but it should be a little easier to read text and especially hyperlinks now while keeping the majority of the page dark.

the only thing I would change about chromos dark theme is the color of the "viewed links" id make it yellow like it was before and not grey

it seems the link colours on the experimental dark theme have changed from a nice blue to a washed out blueish grey. Not sure if this is a theme issue or a browser issue.

Hmm, lighter blue links as I suggested in another thread. Nice not having to work to read now. Thanks for the update.
Does seem a little ... wan.

The dark theme has been updated to the latest version from Crono. So you're likely seeing one of the changes he made.

I see.

the visited links are a nice blue but unvisited links are too pale. Swapping them would really brighten up the darker theme.

(Hope this is the correct thread)

I love the built-in VB Style theme like so many others, but there is something really annoying.

One of the most used features for me is the "alert icon", it is usually where we see/check new replies.

So I am finding myself in a constant SCROLL UP, click icon, read reply, scroll up again, click icon, check next thread etc...

It would be SO MUCH easier if the notifications would (also) be on the bottom and not always scroll up and away. It's very inconvenient that this is in the title, seeing how often this is used.

You are correct. This is fixed in my latest User Style.
Ken, there is another issue with the VB style.
With the latest Firefox, if you have the VB style selected and you come to the forums there's no login button at the top of the page. You have to scroll to the bottom of the page to find the "(You must log in or sign up to post here.)" button.
wirelessenabled brought this up in this thread:

Bump because Xenforo upgrades finally made enough of a mess that I posted a new VB style version on UserStyles.org.

I am seeing circular avatars again instead of square. Is there a fix for this?
Well I'll be ... I believe that's a setting in the XenForo software. Not sure if theme developers override it.
Another setting trampled on by Monday's forum upgrade.
