Stupid ring tones and office etiquette

Would it be so wrong for me to bring a bat into the office and use it to smash to smithereens the cell phone of one of my fellow co-workers? God the sound of his cell phone ring is so annoying.

Actually it would be nice if they turned it off or at least put it into silent mode. I turn my cell off when I'm at work.

when I get to work I set my phone for volume 10 / 10, vibrate off, beeps at 10/10.

oh and I also don't pick up the phone until the very last second.

God I know. In our office, your phone is fair game for being hidden (usually in a trash can) if you leave it on your desk and an annoying ring goes off. However, sometimes I'll be at a client's and people's idiotic Mexican Hat Dance ring will go off for 5 minutes straight... :|

Yeah... Here's the rule of thumb on this where I work:

1st "Offense": Turn off the phone, or put it on vibrate
2nd "Offense": Pull the battery on the phone, leave it laying on the desk.
3rd "Offense": "Phone? What phone? Sorry man, I haven't seen it"
