Would it be so wrong for me to bring a bat into the office and use it to smash to smithereens the cell phone of one of my fellow co-workers? God the sound of his cell phone ring is so annoying.

Actually it would be nice if they turned it off or at least put it into silent mode. I turn my cell off when I'm at work.

I HATE that in an office environment. Is it so hard to have your phone on "one beep" or vibrate?

YES...put it on vibrate, nobody cares if you figured out how to make "La Cucaracha" your ringtone.

Can I borrow your bat to take out some phones from people who have to use their speaker phone in their cube?

God I know. In our office, your phone is fair game for being hidden (usually in a trash can) if you leave it on your desk and an annoying ring goes off. However, sometimes I'll be at a client's and people's idiotic Mexican Hat Dance ring will go off for 5 minutes straight... :|

In my office one girl has the godfather theme on hers and another is a 50 cent song. It was cute the first time.

Yeah... Here's the rule of thumb on this where I work:

1st "Offense": Turn off the phone, or put it on vibrate
2nd "Offense": Pull the battery on the phone, leave it laying on the desk.
3rd "Offense": "Phone? What phone? Sorry man, I haven't seen it" :)
