So (as im sure you all know) i got a new A/C installed 2-3 weeks ago... I got a call monday that a city inspector needed to come out and inspect the new A/C unit... So we scheduele the appt for wednesday morning, but she also told me over the phone that their usually late so plan on waiting around for awhile, possibly into the afternoon...
Wednesday morning, i wake up at 9:30am to find a note on the door saying the inspector came and i wasnt home. We called them up and the guy said he knocked, and then walked around the back to see if he could see anyone inside. Now, the way our townhouse is situated, me and the other person living here have the 2 upstairs bedrooms, which is WAAAY to far away to hear anyone knock at the front door. Now they want $100 to come out again to inspect (has to be within the next week or we get a fine ontop of that). My question is, if have a perfectly good doorbell that works, which i would have DEFINATELY heard if he rang it (he admitted that he didnt even try), should i responsible for the $100??
