They are all cheats and liars.

I doubt I'll see a Libertarian candidate, and I probably wouldn't know it even if I did. So I'm voting spoiled ballot as my only means to show my contempt at the choices given.

By the way you do realize the Conservatives hid some 5 billion dollars in Ontario before they left office last time just so they could say they had a balanced budget. I mean that was their major bread ticket to getting elected in the first place and why they cut everything and privatized everything left and right and cut services. This way everyone could feel justified and point a finger and say "look this was important and it was worth it and we are now a responsible province." Oh yeah real responsible.

Hey how come they aren't all in jail?

I swear sometimes these politicians come together in secret somewhere between the various parties and decide among themselves how best to rape and pillage the country on the backs of the taxpayer.

 Stunt, you would do well to listen to this man.

I don't know about Canada but here in the U.S. there is an exclusive club called the Bohemian Grove. A number of 'higher ups' in government and corporations have met there, including several U.S. presidents, including G.W. Bush. The place is closed off to the public so who knows what kind of plot hatching goes on at the Grove.

Don't share your views(entirely 😉), but there must be an Independent or something(Beer Party or reasonable facsimile) you could toss your Vote at. If not to support your beliefs, at least for the fun of it. 😀 Your choice though.

I'm going Liberal again. Stephen Harper appears shady to most Canadians including me. Yes, there is a need for change, but that doesn't mean that the entire system has to change. The corrupt elements need to be uprooted and I do sense an increased sense of responsibility and an awareness among the Liberals in this regard. I think the Liberals have realized that Canadians have smartened up and will not be forgiving of continued corruption.

As for Stephen Harper ... apologizing to the Emperor on behalf of the Canadian people for not participating in the war in Iraq????? (which I consider to be an unforgiveable act of unwarranted agression and covetousness)

Can you say SYCOPHANT?

Sorry Mr. Harper, you crossed the line on that one.

The liberal party saved you guys from going into a recession. Why would you want to jump ship when your economy is doing so good? ...and don't give me that natural resources crap, the numbers don't add up, it can only account for a small fraction. Perhaps I'm wrong, if so please correct me.

ATOT is where the people who can't handle P&N go! 😉 😀

Martin and Chretien disagreed on the Iraq war.

If Martin were in power at the time of the decision, and David Pratt was his defense minister...both would have gone to Iraq.

The Iraq decision was made...it's not an election issue, if it is; voting Martin makes little sense.

How so? I don't see it, so please elaborate.

TSX vs. Energy

Don't forget the spinoffs from a bull comodity markets; ie. financial sector and the energy exchange still outpaces the index. Also consider the percentage of GDP focused on resources.

Perhaps you can paraphrase what this meams. I'm not up on trading.

Yes. But has little to do with my post. I am not voting for Martin because the Liberals didn't go to war. I am voting for him because the alternative in my opinion is much worse. Had Harper been in power, he would have DEFINITELY gone to war. You can't say the same for the Liberals. Martin or not.

Mike Harris in Ontario wreaked havoc upon the education system. It is still reeling from the effects of his policies. Yes, these are the federal elections but Ontarians learned an important lesson from that episode.

The party I WANT to really vote for is the NDP. I find Jack Layton to be the most upright of the three. However, my vote won't get him into the hotseat. Therefore, like the last election, I will most likely vote Liberal to save Canada from Harper.

That means over the last 5 years the energy sector in Canada has quadrupled in value: 400%

The Canadian market as a whole (who benefit from this huge run as well) gained 20% over the same period.

The energy sector now makes up 30%+ of the Canadian stock market.

That is your economic growth...not the liberal party...what a joke.

Ahh, so it's all been a windfall... now I understand why you cry so many tears for Alberta. Afterall, lottery winnings are tax-free here😉

If the Iraq war is not a consideration in your decision, why hold that against Harper? If Martin was in power he would have DEFINATELY gone to war.

Harris has nothing to do with the policies and ideas proposed by the Conservative party under Harper. They may share a name, but their platforms are totally different as provinces and the feds have different jurisdictions.

I am voting Harper to save my country from more Liberal waste, corruption, ignorance and negativity. For me, the NDP's only use is to split the dumbass vote 🙂

Our growth has been similar to other oil rich nations...so yes it has been a windfall.

I suppose you are going to suggest the Saudi, Iranian, Venezuela, etc economic growth was from their governing parties...

Nope. Subtract out the oil, and we are still a competitive nation.

Conservative Party of Canada doesn't equal Republican.

But vote as you please...there are more than enough reasonable Canadians to counteract your 1 piddly vote 🙂

Economic Growth was strong prior to Oil prices going through the roof.

Tell me how you can subtract 30% of our economy and have a competitive nation...
