It seems to me there are some fundamental skills that people (in the US at least) should all know. Many of these are learned as children. Things like how to tie shoelaces and how to tell time. It amazes me how many people don't know how to do some of these things, though.

For example, these are some things that seem like fundamentals to me:
knowing how to read
knowing how to ride a bike
knowing how to swim
knowing which way to turn a screwdriver

I know there are a few people with diseases and things that make some of these difficult, but I just don't see how so many able-bodied people can never have learned such basic things.

Feel free to add other stuff to this list.

Maybe he has a Dvorak keyboard and it was a typo?
(On Dvorak keyboards the A and O are placed right next to one another)

Knowing that when you're seated in the middle or rear of an airplane cabin, it's pointless to stand up and get your luggage as soon as it stops. It always amazes me to watch people get up right away and struggle to get their bags with everyone else in the aisle at the time -- and then proceed to stand there for 5 minutes holding their bags until they can acutally move forward.

How the hell do you know how anyone other than yourself wipes their ass? Is this something that you like to talk about?

ugh
if thats not bad enough

my city just made a 2-way stop, with turn lanes, into a 4 lane stop...and kept the turn lanes.

if you get 3 or more people there, you get alot of blank stares and people guessing at who goes first.

worst part is, that while it was utterly stupid to turn it into a 4-way, the city has one-upped themselves by cutting a 4 lane BUSY road, into a 2 lane, 6 months ago, expanding the lanes (in what appears, to me, to be an inexplicable design) and not finishing the project...its been sitting there, half-done for 3 months now.

they have succeeded, in two spots, to back traffic up considerably. asshats.
