Anyone have any experiences or good stories? Going to try to study abroad in the EU for Fall 2011/Spring 2012. Potentially going to class and work in Norway, Germany, or Austria. Going as an MIS graduate student...

Thoughts, opinions?
 
I knew some peeps who went to Germany and Spain. Overall they had a very fun time...don't learn a lot but instead you drink a lot.
 
Yeah, thats what I've heard, too.

A friend of mine studied at Oxford summer of 2007 and I was super jealous. He told me all these whack stories about going to class and goofing off with everyone.

At one point, he danced with Emma Watson and a stuffed alligator in the VIP of a Euro club.

Sounds like fun to me...
 
Studied at Uppsala University in Sweden from *wait for it* 1994 to 1996.
Had a good time. Learned more in the 2 years there than I did at any other point in my academic career. Met a lot of great people too.
 
Studied aboard for one year and one summer in two different countries

Probably the best thing you can do as a student.

Definitely one of the best times of my life. I still keep in touch with some of the people I studied abroad with.
 
Cool...do you guys have any stories from over seas? Uppsala, you must have enjoyed it so much to put it in your username 😉 Surely you have to have some story worth telling 😀
