If they wanted to throw a beach ball (oooooo!!!) then fucking let them. Even if you don't agree with that, it doesn't matter because blowing a kiss is an absolutely ridiculous thing to be punished for.

Why even have a graduation for the students if they have to follow strict guidelines set up by parents and administrators that have nothing to do with the graduation.

Are some adults assholes and sticklers because they've led sad and lonely lives? I'm 22 and my dad is 60 and neither of us will never be like that.

Well, they didn't punish anyone, and no one complained except for a few butthurt school administrators. So clearly it WAS pretty minor.

But beyond that, the subject at hand is a kid who bowed and blew a kiss. Very, very far from what you're calling "disrespectful" or "tomfoolery."

The main flaw with the new analogy is that the school dictates the terms of graduation, not the students. The students are the recipients, not the givers. In a wedding, the bride and groom choose their venue and pick their pastor/reiki master/voodoo technician/lesbian reflexologist minister thus they can have it howevr their want. Students, however, still must accept the terms that the school dictates for the graduation ceremony.

I was going to say I can't believe you'd actually side with the superintendent after watching that video and seeing how minor it was, but then I remembered that all you care about in life is following rules (more specifically, dictating rules for others to follow). Not surprising, just sad.
