Out of those two, I'd take the klipsch.

The logitechs have some more features, but It's kind of a bad idea to use them if you have a nice soundcard like you have already.

The 2 way satellites in the klipsch set are going to get you better upper frequency response than the logitechs.

Have you thought about getting an entry level HT set? You'll have better upgrade options later, be able to easily connect more than one source if you intend to do it, and have more options for selecting the components.

You've obviously looked at logitech speakers, but have you looked at Creative. Alot of people reckon they make the best PC speakers, but they charge a fair bit for them. Depends how much you wwant to spend i guess.

The other option is to buy a home theater/surround sound system, from a brand like Pioneer, and hook your sound card up to this. This'll give you at least 5.1, which is great for Gaming, DVDs and Music.

Yeah, logitech makes pretty good budget speaker sets. If I had to go back to a below $50 set, I'd be looking at logitechs.

twitchee2, do you have a circuit city or best buy near you? The might have both sets and you could try them out.

It naturally wouldn't be the best listening environment, but it would be nice to get a look at them before you spend $300-ish on some speakers.

I dont want big expensive speakers or surround sound for my PC, because I already have a Pioneer 5.1 setup in my Room. When I want to play something with Surround sound, I'll just switch over to that.

Have you thought about just getting a couple new bookshelf speakers for it an adding a sub?

(I'm assuming this is receiver based)

This is quite simple.

If I were strictly a music/gaming nut and had alot of extra money to spare, I'd go for the klipsch. However, if you watch movies, and want "true digital 5.1" audio like as if you're in a movie theater, then go for the Logitechs, they have a hardware DD decoder.

Also, it depends alot on your soundcard, you said you have an Audigy 2 ZS well... ok this is quite simple also. The logitech speakers can reach really desirable high-low frequencies with that A2ZS card, however with any lower end card the Klipsch will blow it away in that dept. So with that sound card you have, I'd definately say go for the logitech speakers especially on a bang/buck ratio, the Klipsch get blown away. Also if you'd like "True DD 5.1" with the Klipsch you'd need to order the hardware decoder for $50 off their webpage.

Having said that.. Klipsch DO sound better overall... because they have a tweeter which make them able to reach higher highs than the logitech.

I personally have the A2ZS with Logitech Z-680 speakers(same as the 5500) and they sound superb, and also have ALOT more wattage than the Klipsch. See... I told you this one was quite simple. ;-)

Here's my take on hooking up digitally to z-5500s

The audigy can decode DVDs on its own and output to analog.

EDIT: Oh, and wattage isn't everything. There are other things to consider like efficiency. Besides, If you have either of these sets cranked up all the way for games or music, there's something wrong.
