I've heard all these "bars" and I know that strut bar is for making the chassis/body more rigid for tighter cornering.

isn't that what an anti-roll does? is it the same thing with a different term?
what about the stabilizer bar?

Anti Roll Bar = Stabilizer Bar (and also = sway bar)

They connect the left and right sides of the suspension together to resist body roll. A difference in compression between R + L causes the bar to twist, like a torsion bar.

you can also have two - on my eclipse, there a roll-bar underneath the car and you can add a strut-bar inside the car.

A strut bar will prevent the entire chassis from flexing. A sway bar will prevent chassis flex but that isn't the main purpose. It's used mostly for stiffening up the suspension, which as you probably know flexes a lot more than the entire chassis.

High rate springs, shocks, and sway bars are more important for cornering than strut bars for the most part.
