Angelina Spencer, the executive director of the Association of Club Executives, which serves as a trade association for strip clubs, said an informal survey of convention business in New York and Denver had determined that Republicans dropped more money at clubs, by far.

“Hands down, it was Republicans,” she said. “The average was $150 for Republicans and $50 for Democrats.”

As further evidence of the clubs’ nonpartisan appeal, Don Kleinhans, the owner of the 2001 Odyssey, said when the Promise Keepers, a male evangelical group, came to town years ago, business was rollicking.

But why should their work end at the end of the afternoon? When GOP Christians have another job, to reform all those soiled doves. As I ask, where do you find all those soiled doves? Why at strip clubs of course. And how to you get a chance to share your Christians values with soiled doves other than to pay soiled doves? While your soiled dove does a lap dance in your lap, a true Christian can spread his evangelistic message of love, reform, and redemption?

Its a tough job, but at least GOP Christians are willing to it.

I'm old enough to remember 1975 when it was in NYCity and I was driving a cab. It was terrible for businesses in NY. The Republicans were viewed as a bunch of cheap yokels who didn't do anything for fun, like go to a strip club. It was the Democratic conventions that brought the partiers to town.

How times have changed. Being a Republican pays a lot more these days. And being a Democrat means your broke.

Most people wouldn't recognize their own elected national officials so how the hell would strippers in dark, likely smoky clubs recognize elected officials from other jurisdictions?
