i remember one local gourmet-ish shop by moms old house had fresh string cheese that had a smoky flavor to it. It was so good. The flavor was really robust and rich (but not enough where i wouldn't eat the whole package! )
Ok, how do you eat it?
i would eat it slowly, "ripping" the srings off with my teeth.
Same here! I pull the string apart little by little until its all gone.....that is unless I feel like a complete hog...then, I just eat the whole thing all at once.
