That Mustang reportedly had $100,000 in mods and was driven by a 21 year old.

Here is the raw footage:

More than 60 people gathered to watch an illegal street race in Chatsworth early Thursday that turned deadly when a "very powerful" Ford Mustang plowed into the crowd, killing two spectators, Los Angeles police said.

The collision occurred after 2 a.m. in an area known for street racing near Canoga Avenue and Plummer Street. LAPD Det. Bill Bustos said that two vehicles were engaged in a "pre-planned street race."

Police identified the driver of the Mustang as Henry Michael Gevorgyan. Authorities are now searching for the 21-year-old and said they will seek murder charges against him.

"Please turn yourself in, it's just a matter of time before we get you," Bustos said during a news conference early Thursday evening. "The community knows who you are."

Dumbasses... I hope they take both cars and crush them into tin cans before they throw the book at the idiots driving them.

I wonder what kind of mods he had on there to be over $100k in mods. When I attend events like this even publicly law abiding ones, I stand away from areas that might at any point becomes in front of or on side of the car. Stay above it or behind it, particularly if a retard is driving a modded car for the first time.

sad. That kind of power in the hands of a noob NEVER ends well. EVER EVER EVER EVER. They always get a false sense of bravado and push it till they go too far.

I dont even like doing hwy pulls anymore. In the old days most noobs couldnt get that type of power unless they built it themselves usually giving them enough time to unnoob. If you take the time to learn how make power you usually do it gradually and learn as you go.

Now noobs walk in to west coast customs wannabe stores that built them sloopy power and sure enough they never do enough work on the suspension and tuning of the coilovers. Non matched parts are a nightmare suspension wise and losing it in first gear isnt the problem. Its losing it after a shift. Look at Paul walker.

Sad and stupid.

5 or 10 years would be good for the driver. Too bad the spectators can't be punished as well, but maybe put the corpses in the cell with the driver of the douche canoe.

Or... Auction them off to responsible owners, and the proceeds go to the victims family? Why waste a perfectly (amazing) car?

Would you buy a car that had killed two people?

Personally, I don't care about the cars at all. The Mustang is probably pretty jacked up anyway.

Is that what happened to him?

He lost control at speed probably after a gear change on greasy tires. He didnt lose it in first gear and neither did these guys.

Its crazy how fast a car can lose it in third gear when you make serious power.

Sure. Because the car didn't kill two people, some retard driving it did. If I could buy it for cheap and the proceeds helped the families or went to some charity or whatever, why not?

If it's totaled then I guess it will get scrapped.

I'm on a private FB group of GTR owners. They're already know who the other driver is on there, though the police don't seem to be interested in him right now.

It says they will seek murder charges.
Will his opponent be charged with murder as well?

How much power are we talking? Why did it lose control? Does it apply to auto-tragics?

Street racing is akin to practising beginners archery in the middle of a crowded park. Only a matter of time before someone gets hurt.

If you can afford $100k in car mods, you can afford to take it to the track. Kid needs to spend some time in jail for that for sure. Though if he can drop that kind of cash at 21, he probably has "affluenza".
