While watching a dvd movie it started freezing up and then that was the end. This console was a launch console too, never froze during a game no matter how long I played it.

A movie....

That really sucks, I wonder if there's a chance you'll get a 65nm? The rumors keep coming up that late August-September is when we'll start seeing them. Someone has to be the first person to get one.

I know it's a pretty slim chance, but I figured you should have something to hope for during this terrible time of need. :p

Just played it and I gotta say...IT WAS GREAT. I was not expecting it to be so fun. It was REALLY fun. I swear, every single thing you can shoot and interact with. The mess the area looks like after you have a gun fight looks real and really cool. I love thinking and seeing other ways to kill someone. For example there was a guy shooting at me from above, so I dove out and shot the sign above him and it fell and crushed him. Then another part, there was a push cart someone was using to sell fruit, and I jumped on it (then it went slow mo) on my chest, and I rolled out in front of all the bad guys and shot them all up why laying on that thing. It was a blast

And the demo was pretty long. I think i'm gonna have to buy this

Just get used to the controller. I used to think the same thing...finally forced myself to learn the controller when I got my 360...and now I have no interest in going back to KB&M.

lawl... no thanks KB/M will flat out PWN any console controller..
I play both and there is no comparison..

a player with a KB/M will flat out pwn even the best player using a console controller.. the precision is much better.. as is the speed.

The game played like Chinese Max Payne... and I loved Max Payne . Honestly, the only complaint I have is I lost so many bullets to stray shots because aiming on a controller... well, it's not my strong suit!

There are a lot of destructible things that can take out enemies for you, the game conveniently made them twinkle too. Also, did anyone else find the Golden Pistol in the stage? It's practically like the Golden Gun in Goldeneye where one shot kills anyone. You find it in the area that has like 3 paper birds. Just jump up a couple railings and it's on a balcony.

Stranglehold also comes out for the PC, which is where it will see my money:
http://www.ebgames.com/product.asp?product%5Fid=646709

There's no sense in paying $60 for a game where I get a worse experience because I can't aim for shit on a console but I can much better on a PC.

Also as a note, the game will be out on the PS3, but comes out 9/17 rather than 8/27 when it comes out for the PC and XBOX 360.

Yeah most shooter games I'll take the PC version if available. Some, like GRAW, seemed to function pretty well with a gamepad though.

This is why I'll be playing Stranglehold on the 360.

MINIMUM requirements

# OS: Windows XP SP2 / Vista
# CPU: Dual Core Processor
# RAM: 2 GB RAM
# Video: Nvidia 7800 or higher / ATI x1300 or higher
# Disk space: 15 GB

I've given up on the constant PC update game. Just can't afford it anymore.

That may be true to a large degree, but that's not the point is it? We aren't even talking about playing multiplayer here. Also, the controller vs KB/M debate is completely meaningless anyway when there isn't even a mix of control types in multiplayer. I play both as well and have no problems either way. If I ever play a game that mixes types I'll likely choose KB/M, but otherwise, I see no point in even discussing the issue.

I'm in the same boat, which is exactly why I decided to get a 360. I'd love to build a new PC, but I can't justify the cost just so I can play games. My 'outdated' PC is still running strong and does everything else I need without issue.

What are the max requirements? I wonder if my C2Q 6600 with 4GB of RAM and a GeForce 8800GTX can handle it.

The way you guys make it sound, my PC is obsolete from the expenses you're talking about... you could build a decent PC for a decent price (my C2Q was only $270 for example). If I didn't have to use a controller, I would've enjoyed that demo so much more.. I got the same feeling when I tried Lost Planet for the PC (which I own it for the XBOX 360).

Still... three cheers for Chinese Max Payne :D!

This must be like R6 Vegas. Just another poor ported game.
