Strange production difference...

I added a 760Mhz Athlon to the crack rack. According to the speed page, it should produce 2.3MKeys/s. It's actually producing 2.57Mkeys/s, 270K more than it should be! Any ideas?

The new athlon specialized core. 🙂 The speed page needs to be updated to 3.4 (i get about 3.39, but in something like linux, it could get to 3.4). That's why 🙂

[EDIT]Doh! I'm slow! 🙂 *hits his 56k modem*

If your Athlon is just running off the "Boot disk", you don't have alot of overhead running in the background.

The client has a niceness of 0, but all that it needs to back out of the way of, is network stuff.

That's always good for a boost in blocks completed. 🙂

Yeah, it looks like they need to update it. There's a listing for a P2-400 in Win98 getting 104Mkeys/s.
