Well it does kind of look like a montage of human faces, especially in that black n white still at around 0:36. Pause it at that frame and it looks like a bunch of human faces.

And then there is always this:

That movie is still awesome for the day. I saw part of it a year or so ago. I can't believe how good it was. I wish I could finish watching it. Can't find it on netflix or any place.

I'm sure you could buy the DVD for around $10 somewhere. I'm surprised Netflix doesn't have it..

That WOTW was the one that scared me stiff when I was about 6yo. I frightened myself more with thoughts that one of the three-colored eyes on a stalk would snake up the drain or come out from under my bed to get me. I think the shower drain at my baby sitter's place (where I saw the movie) had a strainer design with three bars converging in the middle... and I didn't think it looked like a peace sign!

I've been listening to Jeff Wayne's 1978 WOTW Musical today. SOOOO much better than any movie ever made!

Yea, the JW version was a masterpiece for sure, great narration by Dick Burton and great songwriting by Moody Blues members, (Thunder child, Forever autumn) are great songs..

I thought that too but a comet would be traveling extremely fast at impact, I can't see how over 50% of it remained intact unless it's a piece from a much bigger impact from nearby..

Where do you get "over 50%" from?

1. I don't think you have a frame of reference for the size of that object.

2. Comets can be HUUUUUGE!

The music in the video makes me believe it is something more.

I don't think we are alone.
