It's comet debri. It says so in the first comments. Looks cool and kind of freaky though. I'm sure they will investigate more and get closer.

Comet debris, you can tell by the fragmented formation which is a common characteristic of comets. I am an Astrogeologist.
LOL, I was 9 when I first saw that movie, it scared the bejesus out of me, still a great Sci-fi film to this day, it won Oscar awards for special effects...

One of my favorite Alien Movies. Roddy Piper rules.
But look at the tilt of the horizon. Go watch Batman and come back and tell me there isn't something sinister up there..As already pointed out, it looks just like another more prominent rock in the photo.
It just looks weird because of the distance and the fact that your brain wants to think it's a bush or something. But it's just a porous rock with the camera/lighting combo making it look funny. That part at the topp that looks kinda disconnected, as if it were foliage, is actually just a dark spot in a surface that's blending with the background.
