All right, I'm sick of you people whining about intolerance, bigotry, etc.
I'm tired of people who have the philosophy that anyone who disagrees with what someone is doing is intolerant and/or a bigot. I think homosexuality is wrong. However, I don't use slurs against them and I don't treat them any differently than anyone else. I have friends who are homosexuals and they know what my opinion of it is. They know where I stand, but they also know that I will treat them like a real person. You think that you're open-minded just because you believe that everything is ok? Wake up. To be open-minded, you have to look at arguments on both sides of the issue and examine them next to what you believe is true. It is the willingness to examine and evaluate new ideas that makes you open-minded. You people that react with shock to anything that could potentially offend anyone are moral and intellectual cowards and you are just as "open-minded" as the KKK. This whole philosophy is based on the "I'm ok, you're ok" point of view. As long as you don't tell me what I'm doing is wrong, I'll leave you alone, too. This is completely spineless and it results in a generation of people who don't believe in anything except for serving themselves. If I tell you what I think you're doing is wrong, I'm not discriminating against you. I'm telling you what I think. I fully support the rights of people to do whatever they want as long as it does not infringe upon the rights of others. I also support the rights of anyone to say what they think about whatever they want to as long as it doesn't amount to assault or slander. You people who act like you sat on a tack every time someone says or does something that isn't PC are, for the most part, far more intolerant than the average Joe. To most people, it looks pretty good, like you're standing for equality and justice. All you're really showing me is that you're closed-minded and that you are simply trained monkeys who yell bigot!, racist!, bible-thumper!, intolerant!, ignorant!, and all your other derogatory terms whenever someone presents a viewpoint that you think might upset someone. Grow up.
