I must confess to feeling somewhat conflicted. I have no problem with them doing their own thing, but it's hard enough to find a good woman competing against other men, now you got to compete against women as well.

Sorry, but that kind of sucks.

yup, saw his locked thread and his refusal to change title to a more accurate one.

What exactly do you feel was inaccurate about it? They are still hoping to hold a "straight pride" parade, whether a permit was issued or other considerations don't really change that despite it being a hugely stupid idea and likely straight-up trolling. Lack of a permit wouldn't necessarily even stop the parade, the organizers and participants could be arrested for it though. If we can call illegal immigrants "undocumented workers" then we could call this event (if it happens) an "undocumented parade." That being said it's probably better if the city issues the permits and allows all 13 people who would attend a "straight pride" rally to do so thus letting us all have a good laugh at them.

Per the city's rejection letter the "parade" permit would likely be issued if the group drops its request to raise their stupid flag on the city-owned flagpole. That seems to be the reason for the rejection and while IANAL it seems that it would be unconstitutional to deny them a permit for the mere content of their message.

I frankly don't give a damn, just read the reasoning behind the lock.

what do think of a gay man being the mascot of a straight pride parade, the purpose of this thread.

It's probably better, since any woman that would've been into women but forced to be with a man probably wouldn't be too interested in having sex with that guy. So at least now you know the pool only had women that are actually into men.

If only straight people would stop having gay, lesbian, transgender, bi or ??? kids, we wouldn't have a problem. Until then, they're just going to have to learn to accept that it is they who are the problem.

In the meantime, Milo Yeahimadumbass is moving up in the conservative world again! How much does this pay him? Nothing? Oh well, a swing and a miss for ol' Mee-Lo.

What I'm kind of surprised by is that usually when someone has an idea this stupid other people point out how dumb it is long before they embarrass themselves nationally.

This is basically the parade equivalent of 'why isn't there a white history month?'

No one in this thread has argued this is a good idea. However I will support peoples’ rights to make themselves look like idiots if that’s what they want.

I didn't say anyone here thought it was a good idea, just that I'm surprised these idiots got this far with their obviously dumb idea.

They are of course free to have as many straight pride marches as they want, and we are free to mock them for it.

It does sound like deliberate attention-seeking. Pick a celeb who they probably know won't agree with them and will object, then pick a contradictory figure like Milo. And does this mean they've forgotten why he was cast out by the alt-right in the first place?

Whole thing is weird, though just because they are trolling doesn't mean they don't have unpleasant intentions.

Attention-seeking, free publicity... savvy move, of course.

Indeed.
