I blame Bush for a lot of things... economy, social security and taxes, the environment, our society as a whole, etc... But I wouldn't blame him for Enron... He's not the one in charge over there...
How can you blame the man for all of these things when he has been in office for a little over a year...
1. The economy was seriously slowing before Clinton left office. This was widely reported in the mass media.
2. The recession was hastened by 9/11. See largest single drop in Dow history.
3. Leading economic indicators were somewhat positive the last time I looked, indicating that this would not be a deep recession.
4. Social Security? How has he ruined Social Security? Before answering that question, read the Constitution and tell me who has the power of the purse. Hint - It is not the President.
5. Environment - How has the environment worsened since he became president? I live in Houston - the most polluted city in the US. Smog warnings have been down. Things are strating to turn around. Is this to Bush's credit?
6. Our society as a whole - Quite frankly, I have never been more proud to be an American than I have during Bush's administration. Bush has ushered an era of new patriotism that has been sorely missed by many for a long time.
Would you care to cite some examples of how Bush is responsible for the moral decline of America in a little over a year? I can give you a long list of examples of Clinton's 8 years of moral malfeasance, if you like, that would seem to suggest that Clinton would be slightly more responsible for "society as a whole" NOW.
