Yuch. Thanks for the warning. Don't eat zone bars without a ton of water. That's normal constipation though. Involving a lot of grunting, swearing, and regular discomfort. The pain I'm having doesn't go away even with synthetic opioids. Pain everywhere else does but not in my bowels. I think I read somewhere that the nerve endings in the bowels and stomach are hard to target. And you're didn't end with a self administered enema. Starting to feel a little better though. Been back and forth between the clinics 3 or 4 times today and the ER visit :( Also have an appointment with the family doc tomorrow lol. Maybe I have some kind of infection too, would explain why this is extra painful.

Yeah it sucks. I just finished shitting out the pistachios I ate Friday night. I really need to stop eating things that fuck with my IBS, but I just love food and food stuffs so much :(

How does IBS manifest itself to you? It seems everyone who has it has different symptoms and severity.

I get really really bad cramps and muscle spasms on my left side, colon side, almost daily. I haven't been having issues with my movements lately, but I also haven't been eating things like nuts and stuff. I really need to be careful with the nuts and seeds, they always tear me up. I can't really drink a lot of booze any more it absolutely destroys my gut for the next couple days. If I haven't crapped, I can't eat or if I have one passing to the colon, I can't eat. I get nausea from that as well, it kind of sucks tbh, but I just smoke weed and go about my day. Can't let a little gut pain make me into a complete sack of shit, thankfully I have a job I can work from home once or twice a week so allows me to toke up and relieve my pain when I need to, while still being able to get work done.

also, i've always kind of had GI issues though I had a severe chest infection a few years ago my doctor believes stressed my body and set it all off. I've had everything checked up, I'm healthy as hell just things make my bowels go crazy. literally felt like i was shitting glass shards this morning. i almost wanted to cry.

I never had to do that.. I hope I don't have to. Hope you have a speedy recovery. Eagerly waiting to update the wiki. :p

Thanks. The only thing that really worries me is that our family has a very long history with cancer and while I've been trying to live healthier in the past couple of years I have not really done so as a rule up till now. Any health problems that creep up inevitably puts that possibility at the back of your mind if you have a family history. That and my persistent anxiety problems don't help.

There is only one thing I can suggest you.. change your lifestyle.

The current one is not helping you.

I believe anti-depressants can lead to constipation quite, uh...regularly, as it were.
