OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just had the WORST stomach ache i have EVER had in my entire LIFE!

I woke up about 15 minute ago from the excrutiating pain in my stomach. First I thought it was a dream, but no less than 1 minute after i woke up, I was down on my knees in my room keeling over in pain.

Has anyone ever had a stomach ache that bad before? Should i be worried?

I get them about once a week. I have hypergastrointestinal disorder (I think that's what it's called.) Just means my stomach produces way too much acid, so I take some prescription acid reducer. Major stomach pains aren't usually serious unless they happen daily or the like.

I think was more along the lines of gas, rather than acid.

But i even have tears in my eyes still from the pain. That cant be normal...

no its not normal and within the past 2 months i have had so much pain i dont know what to do with it, i am currently on pain medication and i know exactly how you feel, i can barely sleep anymore and have found myself in tear on more than one occasion. I strongly suggest you go see a doctor.

I hope everythings A-ok

Well the overproduction of acid causes an overproduction of gas (so i'm told.) I usually don't get tears from the pain, but I have once or twice. My suggesstion, take an antacid, wait on the doctor unless it happens again. But if you're really worried, then go to a doctor and explain to him what happened.

Is the pain closer to your chest where your stomach would be, or lower where your intestines would be? Could be a peanut got lodged somewhere. Chocolate actually can go bad too.

Why do you have to make sense? Personally I love all the medical/ vet "What should I do threads?" I like them almost as much as the people who what education, job and relationship advice. Like I would base any important decisions on ATOT . St@b her is not an option.

Could be.....

1) Unhealthy diet - not enough veggies and tons of junk food, little or no excercise. seriously this makes a huge difference.
2) Been eating too many times or too much recently - indigestion.
3) Major gas - happened to me once.
4) Stress - beginning of an ulcer.

If its just 1-3, don't eat for awhile (skip a meal or two - has worked for me). Let your stomach recover.
If its 4, go see a doctor.

It was midrange, not high enough to be my chest... More than likely my upper intestines.... The pain would come on for about 30 seconds and it felt like knives were being shoved into my belly, then it would stop for a minute or two. Then start over again...

Maybe it's just cramps? Are you about the right age to start getting your period?

OKay, tell me exactly where the pain is in relation to your left/right/up/down of your belly.

How long did it last from the time it hit until it left completely?
Did it make you wanna throw up?
Describe the type of pain: pangs, ache, stabbing....

Awful. :(

Edit: Are you male or female?
Was it like cramping? When you touched your belly, did it hurt?

The pain was about 1-2 inches above my belly button, right in the center.
1. About 15-20 minutes from onset to end (it ended while i was in the potty)
2. No nausea really, a little bit, but i think it was just because it hurt so bad
3. Like a very sharp ache, it was constant and not wavering, like a sharp wave of pain...
4. Male
5. Nah, i dont believe it was cramping, and i only held my stomach to cradle the pain, i dont recall the touch hurting.

That being said im burping like a mofo right now...

From the description, cyclical pain that's excruciating but comes and goes, it sounds to me like gas. Yes, gas can cause extremely intense unbelievable pain. If it is indeed gas pain, over time you may get a "bubbles moving around in your stomach" kind of feeling, a sign that the gas concentration is moving through your system. Eventually, you'll have a bad bathroom experience...

ER doctors are notoriously unable to deal with stuff like this. By all means go to the doctor if you feel the need, but don't expect a miracle shot to cure everything.

To me, and I am not a doctor by any means, but I think it sounds like really bad gas. I had it once so bad I thought I was having a heart attack!
Next time, try treating it as if it is gas and if that doesn't work, get your ass to the doctor!

Well if it was gas (which would explain the burping right now), that had to have been the largest gas bubble in the history of mankind. :)

Since its 6am now i should prolly try and get a few more hours of sleep...

I really appreciate all the help, and i'll post back if it starts up again.... Gnight! :)
