Still no Battlefield 3... How can they not make this?

Same. I played BF2 a lot. It was a game that could compete with the large scale team warfare that I loved about Tribes and T2. I gritted my teeth through a ton of bugs, but dropped it the day the game started refusing to even load. Have they ever fixed the red/blue bug? I know minor issues like that can take a back seat when you have shelf of half-ass expansions to crank out.

Yes, that bug was fixed. Actually, Special Forces and Armored Fury are very good expansion packs. I prefer SF over Vanilla. Though I've spent all of my recent playing time on the POE mod.
 
i don't care really that we don't have BF3 right now because we've been already told that it's being worked on. i'd rather have them take their time with it. it's obvious they are busy with heroes, releasing mirror's edge, and still learning what works and doesn't from BF:BC (which has been hailed as a great console game). anyone who's been around BF2142 or BF2 knows they can't even find the resource to make a decent patch, let alone a whole new BF game at the same time. all i know is that BF3 will kick ass because they will apply what worked from BF:BC and the frostbite dx engine looks amazing.

All the haters and whiners are those that a) had no skill and b) newbs

BF2 is a great game and will continue to be that. Thankfully there are games like WoW to keep these hating kids busy.
