Battlefield 2 was and still is a phenomenal game despite the terrible hit detection, long loading times, and multiple patch issues.
The sales, reviews, and community went right along with it. Battlefield 2 is one of the best selling and most played PC games ever.
The games expansions and BF 2142 were alright but no Battlefield 3.
PC gamers have been long awaiting Battlefield 3, so what do they do? They make yet again another sub-par (compared to the PC games) version of Battlefield on the consoles...
Not only they but it's console exlusive!?!? How are you going to take an amazing PC exlusive series and make 2 games in a row console exlusive. Unlike most games, piracy is hardly an issue at all for the Battlefield series so I don't see the reasoning for this.
Now we've got Heroes coming up. What the fuck? Goodluck trying to reach the general audience for a computer shooter game. Mom is not going to be googling around for online shooters for 8 year old little Johnny, she is going to be getting kid games at the store.
So the only ones who will even be aware of Heroes existance are the same ones who are dieing for Battlefield 3 and not cartoon rip-off of the series.
Does what I'm saying make sense? I just find it rediculous that there is still no Battlefield 3 yet or even a game announcement. This game would/will have no problem at all selling millions if it's up to par with BF2.
