Yeah. That is a completely baked ROM. None so far exists for stable CM7 since it so new. Here is where it will be:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=954902

That is just a link to a flashable overclock kernel.

Basically use these directions:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=11452450&postcount=19

But use this ROM:

http://mirror.teamdouche.net/?type=stable&device=encore

And also add that overclock kernel to the boot Micro-SD. Flash the CM7 ROM first, and the overclock kernel last.

Thanks for the clarification.

step 1 flash cm7
step 2 flash google aps for cm7
step 3 flash over clock kernel if you want

Love the cm7 final on the nook. Currently overclocked and everything is nice and zippy.
I have not found any problems yet. I did almost drop it but managed to catch it with 1 hand 3 feet before impact. Ninja training kicked in at just the right time.

Do not use any battery mods from previous cm7, got stuck on a bootloop and had to reflash data.

How do you run a benchmark?

Do screen protectors diminish screen sensitivity?

Love this thing. I just read all the dissappointing reviews of the Playbook and its making me feel a whole lot better about it.

Yeah, they are nasty. It is better just to use a theme. The exception is the Honeycomb button flash, that worked gerat for me:

Download Quadrant Standard from the market.

Do screen protectors diminish screen sensitivity?

Actually I think it increased sensitivity, like it expected it to be there! I can recommend them, ESPECIALLY the anti-glare ones.

CM7 is still better for tablet use, because it has GAPPS, the full market, and bluetooth. The update is for normal people who are too scared to hack on the device.

With that said there is a new stable release of CM7 for the Nook Color:

http://mirror.cyanogenmod.com/?type=stable&device=encore

Among other things it features improved video playback support (I have 24p working perfectly now on my re-encoded files) and some stability updates.

I went back to stock 1.1 to play with the 1.2 update, but I'll probably go to the new CM7 after that.

Ugh, the Nook app store is ass.

Does it hurt to update the latest CM7 over top of Phiremod, since it's CM7 based? Any particular things I need to do beforehand?

BTW, does the Hulu thing require Hulu Plus?

One good thing about the official update: it came with hardware accelerated Flash, and it works in CM7.

First uninstall the Flash you have, then install this:

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=WPVJVIA9

You can also do the Hulu trick, and get smooth Hulu. Pretty damn cool, thank B&N!

I uninstalled flash 10.2 and installed the one you linked 10.1
why would the 10.1 have hardware acceleration than the newer 10.2?

Currently using latest CM7 release 7.02
google update
alsa update
and the latest darlington oc kernel (1300)

Comming from phiromod 6.1
I only wiped cache and davlick cache

All my apps are intact and everything is working

Because the 10.1 from B&N is an OMAP optimized version of Flash that is not available to the general public.

Its usefulness is debatable though, as it only works on certain sites. Every Flash video that says "video not optimized for mobile" is just using CPU decoding, which is better in the 10.2 release. So far the only compatible site I have found is Youtube, which is useless considering there is a Youtube app. I will probably roll back to 10.2.

Currently using latest CM7 release 7.02
google update
alsa update
and the latest darlington oc kernel (1300)

For you future reference, all current CM7 builds have the alsa fix, no need to flash it anymore.

I just assumed alsa fix was needed, been using phiromod for the past 2 weeks (based on cm7) and instructions always remind us to do the alsa fix. Maybe its remnant from the previous version before cm7 became final.

I like the cm7 7.02 over the phiromod. I was having minor force close issues on the phiromod. Also the input lag in this forum seems to have dissapeared after going cm7.

Still have not tried the hulu trick. Knowing hulu they will lock it down eventually

I actually like the cm7 7.02. I was having some force close

Actually it was an issue with the first final version on which phiremod is based. Fixed in 7.02.

Phiremod has additional animations that I think slow things down.

The can't. The "trick" forces the Android Flash player to look like the desktop Flash player to Hulu's servers. No way they can block it!

The only issue with the Hulu trick is you must do the steps every time you reboot.

Okay, I went to the new CM7 over top of Phiremod and it's all running fine, except now I'm stuck at 925MHz with my OC, even after flashing the new dalingrin 1.3GHz kernel. Been fiddling with it for an hour and I'm stumped.

Phiremod changes so many parts that when you Flash CM7 over it, things can break. When I last tried that, it semi-broke SD cards for me (Nook would reboot when I took out SD cards).

Hate to say it, but wiping system/data and flashing straight CM7 might be the only answer. Use Titanium to back up your apps first.

Ok so I just went through the steps and installed auto-nooter. How do I go from here to CM7 or did I go too far?

well i think i've got it, will have to see in a few.

Nope. So now my NC wont even boot up at all. Should I be able to just burn the clockwork img to my sd card and then drop it in the nook? It should just boot off of the sd card right? Also how long should it take to bring up something on the screen when doing the initial set up?

Fixed it, running pretty well, youtube doesnt seem to let me play videos though.

Gah! Holy balls this thing is fast at 1.3GHz! Gets hot, though. Temp+CPU reports around 33C while I'm using it and it keeps my hands warm. Not OCing it barely climbs over 28C.

Getting 2500+ quadrants with it set on Conservative. That's pretty impressive, IMO. Which governor do you prefer?

I actually "cooked" mine in a bit by running an intensive live wallpaper all day a few days ago (so the CPU was pegged the whole time). It has been better since then.

I like the interactive governor best.

have they fixed the battery problem yet?

You mean the fact that CM7 doesn't sleep properly? No that isn't fixed, but it should be fixed within a week of B&N releasing the source for their new release kernel. B&N plans to do that in the next few weeks.
