Steve King if there was not rape or incest....WUT??

In light of King's statement, someone needs to update this chart:

GOP-rape-advisory.jpg

Conservatives don't give a shit about women.

Hey now, some Iowans are just spitballing the GOP 2020 platform and testing it out at the Fair. Plenty of time to work out the kinks before the convention!

Never pay any attention to what Steve King says....
He wouldn't even be there in congress if not for district gerrymandering within iOwa.
And the people that keep putting Steve King back into office, those iOwa farmers, they are just as insane as Steve King is.
There're all nutz.....
King is a black eye on the state of iOwa and only goes to reenforce the ignorance of iOwa voters.
And the ignorance of the republican party for not doing something about him.
For iOwa's electorate and Steve King its all about bigotry and racism.
iOwan farmers hate hispanics, they hate Muslims, they hate gays, and they love Donald Trump.
On the plus side, a lot of those bigoted old timers in iOwa are dying off. Eventually they all will.
So there is the silver lining.

AKA "Right of the Lord:
Basically during older time periods, the Nobility of the area were legally allowed to rape young female serfs living on the lands said Lords owned.

Actually it meant that the lord got to sleep with brides on their first night of marriage.

There is some debate as to how seriously it was treated as a 'right' (and how widely spread it was practiced) but it is an historical practice of humans under one name or another.

Snopes actually has a decent short primer that hits most of the important bits

What exactly is he arguing for here? That it happend so we should keep doing it? That it's OK? What's his point?
He's arguing that rape has been so prevalent in human history that if every product of rape had been aborted then none of us would be here. He's right and incredibly wrong at the same time. Although I've no doubt the world looks that way to those dickless douchebags who see women as chattel.

Okay, I sort of get his point that if we go all the way back to what we would consider the first "Humans" there had to be some level of incest and I highly doubt there was much consent. However he doesn't appear to be a guy who completely understands evolution.
All I can says is WUT????

What if I just stood on my hands and quacked like a duck?

To his point, between Adam and Eve - where did all the people come from that followed? I think it is best to ask Mr. King how old the earth is, before taking him seriously.

Historically, humans lived in Caste and Slave societies, where the masters can do whatever the hell they wanted to the plebs.

That old book says that we are all descended from Adam, but it also says that Adam only had sons. It doesn't say Eve only had sons... now I think we understand Steve King a little better.

subposedly eve was made from adam rib, making them father and daughter so incest is natural to evangelicals as they take the bible literally so maybe steve has something going on in his family that isn't quite kosher.

One could also argue that Adam & Eve were not the only humans. They were the only humans in the Garden.

No single actual "rape gene" has been discovered to my knowledge, however it is fact that rape is a very successful evolutionary strategy in nature which is utilized by the majority of animal species, including humans.
Central and South America are good example. Cough Spain.

Is anyone else afraid that King is going to be President someday? I'm looking at the current President and the downward trend of Republican Presidents in general, and he looks like the next link in the chain.

Got to admit, watching a politician take the pro-rape/pro-incest stand is not something one sees everyday. Just waiting for Louie Gohmert to say "Hold mah beer, y'all."

Oh noes! If we don't allow babies conceived through rape and incest to be born humanity would go extinct! Yeah that's a transparently shitty line of reasoning.
