Just bought a new Samsung 27" TV, and I need some suggestions on how to adjust the image - and no, I don't have either the Avia or Digital Video Essentials DVDs to do it with, yet. I'll probably pick one up soon, though.

Pick up DVE from Deep Discount DVD, it's only about 16 clams.

Sorry, not too sure. DDD does ship rather quickly though.

Is DVE much better than the THX Optimiser found on Disney discs?

I've found it to be better, but opinions vary. I have DVE, VE, AVIA, S&V, and those THX optimizer disks here. I find I use DVE most often.

Well since i got the new dvd player, i ran through the THX stuff tonight and it made a world of difference... Wouldn't mind something more powerful though 🙂

Different DVD players will affect it. Even different outputs on the same DVD player.

yeah, I guess so. I was just thinking that if you run everything through a reciever, the signal would only change between the DVD player and the reciever - since it then goes from the reciever to the TV, the tv would always be seeing a nearly identical signal.
