You know, I've always been surprised at how much DLC there is for Railworks. Is it REALLY that popular? How many railroad enthusiasts can there be, really?!

It's a paradox isn't it?

You would think there would be more flight sim fans, but Railworks has been chugging along for some time now.

I wish that game would get modded up or expanded to include being able to pick up cargo, make deliveries and work industries. I don't get it, the ground work is laid, people beg for a railroad tycoon yet it just stays as a simulator.

As to the popularity question, lol:

"On June 12, 2009 RS.com released Railworks via the Steam web site. Then on July 2, 2009 they released the DVD Boxed version.
Interest in the new version was such that the DVD Boxed version sold out the first day."

I dunno, I still wonder how anyone has any enjoyment in a train simulator every time I see Railworks.

If they put a flight sim on steam with a similar dlc model (there is certainly enough content out there), then I'm pretty sure that would be pretty successful. Hell, I'd probably buy a bunch. ():)

I know Microsoft FSX (and their new Flight sim) won't be ever coming on steam, but I'm surprised that X-Plane or a new contender isn't there.

Bought the King Arthur and Overlord packs so far.

Tempted to buy King's Bounty Platinum today...

Almost bought Risen too for $13.

If Dawn of War II: Chaos Rising drops any further i'll be grabbing that for sure.

What is Neverwinter Nights 2: Platinum like?

Borderlands for 10 bucks. How is it that this game is so obscure?

Probably because Gearbox software is known for making expansions, and not full blown games. So Borderlands probably did not receive the attention it deserved.

As for games:
I gifted Battlefield 2 complete collection to my son and my step son
Torchlight to my daughter
Received Batman: Arkham Asylum GOTY Edition as a gift
Probably gonna get the Crysis pack tonight

Probably won't get around to playing at least half of these games. Damn you Steam.

there's one spot i used to drive by on my way to work where there is an open area with a train track next to it. people were always parked there with cameras out and stuff to watch and take pics of the trains. usually it was older guys.
