I haven't tried it since last night (The 13th of march) i am serriously hopping you are right.

I did a test prior to that, the connectivity test, and it passed on all accounts, even the ports were wroking fine. Anyways, i got my fingers crossed, otherwise screw steam. I emailed them and they took 2 weeks to reply, and it was simply a suggestion to do what i already did.

i've been going back and forth with them on the issue and today they said try it in safe mode with networking. the game won't even load in safe mode but steam did download an update for cs:s so i tried it under "normal" mode and it worked fine. been working fine all night so far.

i don't know if it was the update or what.

one thing i do know - i suck at CS, lol

its weird how you can be good at one FPS but suck at another.

Just give it couple days to ajust to the physics.
Anyways, il try your idea with safe mode + networking. I am thinking something in vista might be fudging it. In xp couple months ago it worked just jim danddy.

well, i couldn't get CS:S to load in safe mode. Steam loaded ok, but the games wouldn't. i don't think loading it in safe mode did anything but who knows.

Well, i went around my router and now it works. so now i think i have to go open ports to my router, but i don't have room to add new ports to it. wtf do i do? .

EDIT: Text
There is picture of all my ports forwarded. They are all disabled and have been disabled ever since i remember. Will i suffer if i remove them?

EDIT#2: All right, i set the DMZ to allow only to my IP, i went to log on to steam and it wouldn't let me log all. Okay then i went back to disable the DMZ and magically it worked. Now somehow i am able to find Servers, wtf this is so weird. Well, not that i want to complain that its fixed, i would like to know what happened.

They've fixed both friends list and favorites... that was a very annoying time when you had to refind your favorite servers... arrrrrrrrrrrrgh. I like Steam and Valve, but they take too long to patch needed things.

So today i bought DOD:S since i got my Can't-find-server problem. But now i am getting "server is full" when i join DoD games, and when i do get that i get redirected to some random server. Man, i had nothing but trouble with steam.

*Emails steam*

I don't think that's a steam issue. Some servers redirect you to other sister servers automatically when it's full or when there's only reserved slots available. At least that's how it is for CS:S.
