Am I looking at a different chart? The only monitor specs I see is display resolution with 1280 x 1024 and 1024 x 768 being the most common. Nothing about 27". For memory the chart I'm look at has 2GB and above in one category, so there no differentiating 2GB or 4GB with 44% of people using less than 2GB.

Christ, is 4GB really becoming the norm? I've been doing great with 2GB, so...

Same here. I've been wondering who the hell needs 4GB when most people are still using XP, and that can only use 3GB...

RAM is retardedly cheap now. I have no use for really for the 4GB in PC...but I think it cost me like $25AR. I bought some more the other day thinking I'd use it some day.

I am surprised, though, that Vista 64's percentage is so low. I figured by higher.

I share in your surprise.

With Vista 64 emerging as the OS platform of choice for gamers and 4Gb gaming systems becoming the norm, 6% seems very low.

6% is actually pretty good considering that the survey includes a lot of casual gamers with ancient machines who just play Counterstrike and older games on Steam. If you could break the results down by game ownership in Steam you would probably see more interesting results for people who play newer titles.

I'm guessing that number will go up a lot after the holidays.
With the economy the way it is people aren't going out and buying new pc like they did.

The main problem with vista64 are lack of driver support. I can't use Vista 64 because Minolta wont' release a working set of vista64 drivers for my laser printer that's only 2 years old.

I think x32 vista will be the OS of "not" choice [meaning people who buy computers from dell and have no idea what they are buying] will be the norm for a few more years...
