Thanks for the heads up.

At a lower price point I might be inclined to finally pick it up (I refused to purchase at release in protest to gameplay changes) but, by the time I can play games again, going to have a lot on my proverbial plate. I want to continue my Shogun 2 campaign, play Arma 2, re-play Deus Ex and try-out L4D2. I think I'll wait further.

Thanks again for the heads up.

Regards,

Np, I'd wait too on DA2. But I would get the DAO UE if you haven't played it, that is a hell of a lot of gaming goodness for $20.

LOL I thought DA2 was already down to $50 for its normal price, $44 ain't much of a sale for what you get.

$15 for DA1 is a great bargain for any who haven't played it yet. An all-around great game.

DAO Ultimate Edition has been sitting at $30 for weeks now, how is $19.99 50% off?
I guess the question is, is the extra content from the Ultimate Edition worth the extra $5?

Nice price on the ultimate DA1 game. I may have to finally buy it but I still have The Witcher and Drakensang unbeaten ...

Considering Ultimate Edition comes with the Awakening expansion and all the DLC, I'd say hell yes it is worth the extra $5

Definitely agree with you there; I've played through DA:O three time now and, going off previews and the like, am more inclined to play through it again rather than play DA2.

Grabbed the Ultimate Edition. I actually picked up the base DA:O on Gamersgate a while back and played a good bit of it, had a great time, for $20, having it on Steam w/ Awakenings and all the DLC seems like a no brainer.

Gyeah....tempting, but I'll pass. Eventually there will be an Ultimate Edition of DAII with much more value.

haven't yet gotten the ultimate edition...thinking I may pass since this is about the same price as it's previous sales.

Not really, since DA2 is a huge step down from DA:O in a lot of respects. If you want to play the same 5-6 dungeons over and over again, re-textured to make people think they're different, then yeah, DA2 is awesome, lol.

I wasn't directly comparing DAII to DA: O. I meant that like DA: O, DAII will likely have an ultimate edition that wraps all the DLC and whatever expansion that may come out into a single game, for a lower price. That has more value than just DAII alone. And I'm well aware of DAII's flaws, which is why I didn't buy it at launch. But BioWare always has good writing, characters, and story in their games, which I enjoy, so one way or another I'll pick it up eventually. Probably when I have hardware that can properly play the DirectX 11 effects.
