GTA IV considered, but rejected, partly for the same reasons (DRM+ Windows Live and Rockstar Cafe required, bleh). Metacritic user reviews were very harsh.
The Witcher never did go on sale any cheaper so I grabbed it at the last minute.
 
Serious Sam HD $6.79 until Monday.

I guess every once in awhile I need a reminder to wait until a game goes on sale and ignore the modest pre-order discount.

When the Second Encounter HD version comes out, I will be waiting for at least a 50% off sale.

Ugh... I got GTA IV for 360 a long time ago based on all the whining about DRM and social crap and the other rockstar thing.

You can skip everything except windows live (which I already had to install for Batman AA)

....and GTA IV for pc is 10x better than the 360 version graphics-wise. I wish I'd bought it for PC a long time ago

and technically securom has to be installed I guess, but I've given up fighting it... grrr..
