Got this when it came out and played hardcore for a few months. It was fun for the most part. Leveled up all my guys while I wasn't raiding. The usual MMO stuff. Great graphics.

That said, I'm not going back.

If you buy the Rift on steam for the $7.50 I assume you get 1 month with it?

And, does it make a difference if I've already done the 2 week trial?

Rift is the DD today.

I suggest, if you are going to get this (was a fun game from what I played), get the collectors edition it is welllll worth the extra $2.50 so that you can ride your mount as soon as you get out of the noob area (like an hour or two of play) and the bigger bag helps a lot.

I agree it's worth the $2.50, but the mount can only be used at level 20 now, they say.

I see no patch notes indicating this. I was always able to get and use the mount as soon as I cleared the intro zone (level 8 or so). It's also a bit ridiculous because there's a mount vendor pretty much right outside where you land once you finish the tutorial zone.

Was/is stated within Steam. I picked up on that minor point.

Decided to skip Rift though. Great deal, just the wrong time for me.

You can't adjust your keys at all in this game. Camera angles are messed up at times. Pretty fun in co-op mode. I picked it up during the summer sale.

I've heard it was surprisingly decent compared to expectations. Even better if you watched the old toons and are familiar with the lore. I'm not, but I might get it anyway.

"We're under attack from the Daily Deal!"

"Wallets!!! Fold out!" (Optimus Prime: Steam Version)

I think it speaks volume of my addiction to Steam sales that I think I already own this, but since I've never actually played it, I don't know. 🙁

A few weeks ago I bought a retail copy of Bioshock 2, only to find out I bought it during a Steam sale months earlier and never got around to installing or playing it. 🙁

I've done a similar thing with blu-rays that I see on sale. I think, "Oh, that's a good movie, and I'm pretty sure I don't own it!" I go home, open it and go to put it on the shelf... yeah... I already own it. The guy at work likes it though, 'cause he gets free movies out of the deal! 😛

I really need to keep a list of the movies and video games that I own on my phone for easy reference. With Steam, I can at least go to my profile.

That's impressive, but I've done that more than once for the same title.

Here is the hierarchy:

First: 'I'm not sure if I already bought that, I don't think so...'

Second: 'I've never even heard of this game, I'll buy it.'

Third: 'I already bought it HOW many times?'

Here's what happened, IIRC.

Used to be the first-tier mounts needed level 20. Then RIFT removed the level limit for the first-tier mounts.

The recent Steam sell of the collector's edition said the mount is usable at level 20. I saw that, forgot the history, and posted. It seems they posted obsolete info.

This is a steal if you like an old-style (but recently released) RPG.

His games normally sell for $25 IIRC; this is his first on Steam, where the price was dropped to $10.

His games have primitive graphics and pretty basic mechanics, but some enjoy them for the story and they're good size.

For the price of my lunch for one day? Sold!
