Lucid is the DD today

http://store.steampowered.com/app/61100/

Also theres a kickass Sega deal all weekend. I was a firm Nintendo supporter but damn thats a shitload of games for 79 bucks.
Aliens Vs Predator is already down to 5 dollars. Guess it didnt take the shooter genre by storm like they were hoping.

Oh, and Ecco the dolphin might seem really lame, but its actually one of the best franchises ever made. highly recommend.

Nancy Drew Trail of the Twister is the DD today

Going out on a limb here but the Nancy Drew games are a great way to get otherwise wary wives/girlfriends into gaming. Start with Nancy Drew, progress to Portal. Next thing you know they're vicariously pissing in urinals via Duke Nukem Forever.

Nancy Drew is a great tool for pedobear to lure young girls in.

The real news today is Alpha Protocol for $2. It may be half-broken like most Obsidian games are when first shipped, but at $2 I can try to live with that.

FO:NV Lonesome Road DLC is out now too, but currently at the full $10 price. I still need to play the rest of the DLC so I can wait for a sale.

Yeah $2 is a great price. Was eyeing it too.

What's the difficulty level on Trine?
[edit] After reading a few reviews, I discovered the difficulty is selectable. ( Seeing if it's appropriate as a game to play with an 8 year old son. )

Yup, Trine is definitely something you could play with your son. It's like a Fairy Tale in video game form. Oh, and fun, too. Not exclusive to kids either; really, it's a good game for just about anyone.

With the caveat of it's not a co-op game or anything like that.

Good game though, and well worth that money.

Rift is the DD today.

I suggest, if you are going to get this (was a fun game from what I played), get the collectors edition it is welllll worth the extra $2.50 so that you can ride your mount as soon as you get out of the noob area (like an hour or two of play) and the bigger bag helps a lot.

Cancelled my Rift sub a few weeks ago. Still active for another couple weeks. I lost interested with 3 level 50's and a 4th at level 43. Just not enough content to keep you busy. Plenty to level up fast with though.

Plus with all the F2P games out there, no reason to be PAYING a monthly sub anymore.

Rift is a ton of fun from 1-49. Once you hit 50 though, it's a really crappy grind fest with overpowered players dominating the top. Especially in PvP. The cheap price is worth the 1-49 play through though.

I agree, the leveling time was very fun and worth it alone for that. I enjoyed lvl'n a lot in Rift. But as soon as you hit 50, it was WoW all over again. Rep grind, tokens, etc.
