Wow requires some quick decisions, especially in PvP, but the graphics are not faster paced than an FPS. Flipping a quick 180 in an FPS is where you really notice smoothness or microstutter / tearing.

I suppose you could play WoW in PvP zoomed into first person mode to emulate it, but that would be pretty fail. No third person view game will have the same quick graphical action as spinning around in a first person game.

So the 680 is by far the better card? The 7970 got destroyed? The 680 is capable of pushing a 120Hz 1080p screen, the 7970 isn't...

But who has suprior IQ for non 120Hz screens, since they're both capable of 60+ fps?

Well that would be nVidia once again wouldn't it, since they have native support for AO in all blizzard titles, and Skyrim, including Diablo III months before it releases :awe:

The U2412M is double the price of a decent TN panel of the same size, TN vs IPS imo is even more over blown than the idea that an SSD is game changing for a gamer. It's benefits have almost nothing to do with gaming.

Nice going with the quote mining. Guess you missed all the other six games I listed.

Consider this my last reply to you ever because all you do is twist people's arguments in your favor.

Why are people making massive posts with endless images?
This forum really needs a "spoiler" function so that images can be covered up rather than making posts screens long with next to zero content.

Excellent question, although we all know the answer

If you're trying to imply they are "paid" (or compensated) shills... then how come they don't have the hardware?
I thought have the point of being part of the NV focus group (at least) was that you get free hardware.
If they aren't getting the free hardware, are they focus group members/shills?

Thanks I dunno if I could go through another bulldozer with you. I missed the rest of your post not because I was twisting but because it was tl;dr, sorry about that!

Excuses, go :p

:awe:

The result of SLI feeling smoother than CrossFireX is that in real-world gameplay, we can get away with a bit lower FPS with SLI, whereas with CFX we have to aim a little higher for it to feel smooth.

You don't need excuses when you're producing smoother playback, even at lower fps.

On release drivers no less...

No diggity.

Way to go off topic, guys.

What's the over/under on how many more posts this thread will last before it gets locked?

The number of people playing Counter-Strike on ancient computers really screws with the stats. The most popular Steamworks game at most times is still CS 1.6, which is so old that you could probably get 1000fps on a damn phone.

People STILL play 1.6? My god.
