Stealth Games

I wanted to play some Stealth games. I've played all of the Splinter Cell and Thief series repeatedly (except for SC: Double Agent). Any other titles on PC that's out there, old games are also welcome, provided I can run them on Windows XP. 🙂

Hitman was a good series. You could stealth your way through, or you could rambo everything. The first one (Codename 47) sucked balls, but the ones after that were all good.

Absolutely right, it's a great series. Specially loved Contracts and Blood Money. But I've played all 4 of them.

One of my favorite video game series. I played Contracts because it came with my video card, and I couldn't find any of my other games. I ended up playing each mission dozens of times trying different ways of getting through them without being seen. Same with Blood Money. Hitman is a great stealth type game.

MGS (Metal Gear Solid) has stealth elements as well, but it is pretty repetitive and boring to me.

Crysis has the ability to go through most of the first half without being seen. I like games where I can try to get through without killing anyone, and Crysis had that going for it until the aliens show up.

The original Rainbow Six was a stealth type game too (at least the way I played it). It was another one that I tried to get through each mission without firing a shot. I haven't played any of the sequels though.

edit: If you play a thief character in NWN, you can often get around dungeons without even being seen, which can be fun in its own right.

Same with Oblivion. Invest in some magic, or cameleon skills, and you can sneak around places and not even fight anyone.

Aha...Rainbow Six! I never actually played Rogue Spear.

If you haven't already you need to get metal gear 1 and metal gear 2 substance for PC! They are awesome stealth games and can be found easily for really cheap (or free). Metal gear 2 runs in 720p!

Hitman 2. I've played through that game at least a dozen times.

The Thief games are pretty much the quintessential stealth series. Part 2 "The Metal Age" was damn hard, but oh so good.

I played MGS 1 on my old PC a long time ago, but haven't played MGS 2: Substance. I'll pick it up! 🙂

You can use stealth in Fallout 3.

I played Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines stealthy the first time through. Trying for the sneaky kill most of the time.

I saw the game at my friend's place a long time ago. If I remember correctly, you need to plan each mission carefully before you actually go in right?

That is what they were known for. I know nothing about the modern versions of Rainbow Six.
