met a girl i thought i would marry. 4 weeks into the relationship, we had unprotected sex. though i didnt want to, i finally caved to her whim. 2 days later she's gone and im all devastated.

1 month later, i started to have weird symptoms like the flu: aches and feeling chilly. 6 months later, i went to see a doctor. tested negative for mono, hiv, herpes, hepatitis. what could it be??? any idea? im dumb founded. the doctor said i should come back if the these symptoms persist.

I assume you also got tested for chlamydia and syphilis? Hep C?

According to my doctor when I got tested, it is uncommon to catch an STI from a single session of unprotected intercourse. For HIV, it's extremely rare.

Do you know much about her background, sexual history, etc?

Have you noticed a dropoff in your interest in eating/change in eating habits? Feeling depressed? Not sleeping well?

blood test did show low thyroid, but not super low. 3 weeks later, the thyroid level is back to normal.

i have the flu symptoms for 6 months straight. after she's gone, there was no point in talking to her, she wouldnt pick up.

eating habit is same. weight is still the same, around 155lbs. still getting around 7 hours of sleep.

im being responsible now, have to make sure i dont have anything before giving it to my current gf

HIV is a very delicate virus. I believe the chances of a male of contracting the disease from a single exposure is somewhere in the neighborhood of 1 / 200, lower if you are circumcised.

Being responsible would mean going straight to a PP clinic or a doctor and getting a full STI test, not asking Dr. Anandtech.

Don't assume it's STD maybe you and your doc are focusing on that angle too much and ignoring other possibilities.
Ask a referral to infectious disease specialist.
