Question from a coworker, nobody can quite remember how to pronounce Padme.
Is it "Podme" or "Padme" (as in this is a writing pad).
Is it "Podme" or "Padme" (as in this is a writing pad).

I've heard and pronounced it as "pod-may," as in "iPod," not "padmay" as in writing pad. I've heard "padmay" from time to time, and it may have even been pronounced differently in the movie depending on what actor/actress you listen to, but at least where I am, it's usually "podmay."

Now, the big pronounciation question is for "Han Solo".
Is it Han like "Can" or Han like "Don"?

Again, it's a long "a" sound, but not "Hon".

no, a long a would sound like "Hane"
the a in "can" is a short a sound.

Apparently one of my coworkers was being harassed by her brother, not sure why that topic came up, but she thought it was Padmay, he said it was podmay. She was discussing that with my indirect boss, they both asked me since I am in the next cube and was male. I thought it was Podmay.
