Graphics look good, but I'm not that interested since there isn't a SP element. I'd really enjoy a decent Star Wars FPS campaign even with a throw away story. My days of FPS multiplayer gaming (unless its coop) are over.

Wow looks friggen awesome.....same candy different wrapper? :whiste:

I too would be looking for some Coop mode as well. A bit more relaxing, even though im an FPS MP junkie

I haven't see the panel discussion but I was told there would be a co-op campaign/missions.

They almost make it sound like space battles MUST exist in the same map as a land battle and that this makes space not fun because you can't fight on the ground while you're in space.

They are obviously going to lie as they are huge hypocritical publishers. However think that the above is probably correct that the mouse wants this game released at the same time as the movie comes out. Would not be surprised if EA and DICE just do not care about the game and they also probably did not want to do any work at all that was not supporting their psychology of cash and business egotism.

All the companies involved in this crap just plain suck.

Ok, the news that there won't be a Clone Wars mode to the game is pretty disappointing to me. My favorite way to play the Battlefront games was to be the Clones shooting up the Droids. I prefer the Original Trilogy over the Prequel Trilogy as much as the next guy, but the Clones and Droids just made for more interesting and fun unit types in a game than the Imperials and Rebels. The Rebels in particular were pretty boring.

Sure...in engine footage, we all know even cranked to the max the game will never look like that to consumers.

Stuff at the beginning looks rendered. Stuff near the end looks like actual gameplay footage though.

Ever seen footage of frostbite 3 rendered at max detail? It really does look that good. Some guys on reddit like to go around and do beauty shots in BF4 and render them in engine at 4k and so on. Looks fricken amazing. That's probably not a detail you'll see in game unless you have some very serious hardware. The animations on the other hand are probably canned cinematic only animations.

SWTOR did not require the Origin platform so what about this game requiring the use of the Origin platform?

SWTOR is an MMO so it had its own client. The on-disc version will have Origin as DRM, and EA games don't go on Steam. So one way or the other, you'll have to use Origin with this game.

Well I thought that since it was a Lucasarts game and that Lucasarts probably owned the IP to the game that they required the game to work without the Origin platform since many potential players are opposed to the Origin platform.

Trailer != gameplay.

I said the same thing when people were getting hyped up over SWToR when the trailers were released. It's not gameplay, don't get too excited yet. People don't listen.

Just like I expected ToR to be WoW with Star Wars skins (which in all honesty it was), I expect Battlefront to be BF4 with Star wars skins...and I don't have a problem with that.

Galactic Conquest was one of the best Star Wars experiences I've had.

Lucas Arts does not exist. This is an EA published game being made by Dice using IP owned by Disney.

There is nothing wrong with Origin. Sure people hate it because they hate EA, but the platform works fine. I have had it since launch (due to BF3 using it) and have never had it crash, or cause any issues. Bandwagon hate is just that.

Are you being serious, or are you just trolling?

While this game uses the Frostbite 3 engine, it is NOT a Battlefield game. They have been repeating this over and over for the last week. To say nobody cares about it is just narrowminded. Dice especially cares about what they work on. Yes they got pushed around by EA's former CEO when BF4 launched, but I do not see this happening again because of all the fallout.

Astroturfing?

I care about Origin because I care about what that software does besides working as a platform for EA games and software.
