I had no illusions UBI was going to happen anytime soon, but it's good to see someone laying the seeds for it.
UBI is only feasible in a society where technology can provide almost all basic needs at low or no cost. We are nowhere close to that reality today, but if you compare the standard of living of someone today vs the standard of living of our parents (mortality, poverty levels) there is no comparison. We are better off as a whole today than at any other time in the past for basic needs and eliminating poverty and death (even despite the shitty western diet of meat and dairy).

average lifespan in the US has been decreasing for several years:

globally, no doubt we are much better off as a species.

The idea that UBI is only feasible if basic needs are near cost free is comically untrue. I suspect you do not know what UBI is.
