I'm just bumping this for an update...

I better get one. I am sick and tired of seeing ATOT members get screwed because they'll all wussy and can't stay in the kitchen when it gets a little hot.

Basically, I'm going with the consensus.. Except, get the other worker in trouble. Show him who he's fvcking with. You closed the sale; not him. Sales is dog eat dog. Eat some dog.

Either way, I'd tell the manager. If the other guy flat out lies, offer to have the manager contact the customer and ask who they worked with for the sale. Have it done in a manner of a follow up call to see if their deal went ok and they were happy with the service. More of a customer service move instead of seeing who did what.

On the money that!, sounds like he took advantage of you there, best to stop it from the beginning or he will always be trying 1 on!

Not everyone selling on comission is a scumbag.

Only most of 'em.

Yup that's probably a case. Apparently this is rather common, as a friend of mine had something similar happen to him. He ended up quitting that place a few days later.

Just bring it up and see what the manager says, just keep calm and don't sound whiny or bitchy about it.

If he is stealing sales from you he DESERVES to be fired. I'd diplomaticvally bring it up with the sales manager next time you see him. Act naive and ask him if what that guy did was appropriate.

Do not talk to your manager about this!!! I cannot stress this enough, you are skipping the most important step to resolving this issue. The first step is to grow a pair of balls. Then you may move on to the second step, ratting out your coworker. Hope this helps.

You're in training so the sales don't count...so what.

You made your pimp a lot of money, I bet he's happy. Good luck working on commission.

If the sales don't count for you while in training, no way in hell the other guy should get the credit.

And yeah, where's the friggen update?????

I did EXACTLY that. The sales manager had a nice long talk with him and gave him a stern warning. Now he has to give those sales to me and as punishment is required to give me three more of his contract sales. If he pulls any more sh*t the manager said he's going to let him go.

saw ur update. these ppl need no warnings (seeing that the guy tried it before as well). they should be fired immediately - basically, if they know it is illegal and still do it, they are incorrigible.

so he's done this before, but this is his first warning? I didn't get that part.

Well first warning regarding with it regarding me. I didnt ask the manager to go into details about the situation that happened before and how he was disciplined back then. The manager also felt it was best to hit him where it hurt the most his wallet and give 3 to me.

What did the salesman say to you after the manager talked to him?

That's gonna be a nice cozy work environment now that your co-worker is gonna be out to get you ...

Two things i dont understand.

1) He pulled this crap before, yet isn't fired for doing it again???
2) He has to give you three of his sales as punishment??? What is this, kindergarten???? If anything, they could suspend him or something benificial to the COMPANY, but him having to make good on it by giving you back double what he took sounds absurd! Anyone else think this is weird???
