New Sig for ya *cough* ;)
pIII 800EB Mhz | 192 ram | SB pc128 | 13.6GB drive | Geforce MX (Leadtek)
Acer50x | Creative 8x4x32 | NEC Multisync FE700

The above steps (aside from the new sig) probably wouldn't see great results. If you've got a couple hours you could always do a fresh install of windows. That'll clean it right up ;)

Have a look in Win.ini or System.ini, through msconfig,be careful in here see if it`s in there somewhere,Mcafee stuff does go in Win.ini now & then.

Check Autoexec.bat again if the line is back in, then add REM to the line:

REM PATH=%PATH%;C:\PROGRA~1\NETWOR~1\MCAFEE~1

Before you do this - check the properties of the Autoexec.bat - if "Read Only" is checked, then un-check it and hit "Apply". Then add REM to the line and save it.

go to the icon "Autoexec.bat" and right-click on to bring up the menu, go to the bottom of the menu and click on "Properties".
