Well you didn't like DS9 so we know you have bad taste anyway. :)

DS9 was terrible...I'd take Voyager over DS9, I think. And I don't much like Voyager either. Remove the bajoran junk from DS9 and it's OK...but I got really tired of the prophets/bajorans episodes.

Glad you typed this word so I didn't have to google it.

It really drives home the terribleness of this show. The main antagonist, this word said a solid thirty times per episode, is gibberish. None of the the actors can seem to agree on how to say it. It has between one and four syllables, depending on who's speaking.

OH NO, IT'S THE...GAH-OOH-AH-OOOLD!
Seems realistic. Travel from New Orleans to New York to Boston to Texas to Canada and see how many different versions of "route" or "car door" or "nuclear" or "fire hydrant" you'll hear.

I think Teal'c and Daniel Jackson pronounce it consistently, and it makes sense since Teal'c is an alien who's race was subservient to the Goul'd, and Jackson is an archeologist and translates a bunch of alien languages. Plus, its a tv show that doesn't attempt to be super serious and even pokes fun at itself, so just let it go. :p

And O'Neill never pronounces anything right.

That's the thing though. Stargate constantly made fun of itself. I think SGA took more shots at when they ripped off other sci-fi stuff though.

How have I never seen that before?? It's totally awesome! :)
If you haven't seen that before, then you haven't seen episode 200. And if you haven't seen 200 you are either not a proper Stargate fan, or worse, some kind of Shol'va.:p

Weren't there TWO of those episodes, actually? I know there was the episode where they find out that guy is an alien (in addition to being slightly crazy)...but I thought there were two episodes about a tv show being made.

I love the way SG1 is irreverent...kind of like the way the Simpsons poke fun at Murdoch and FOX, lol

BTW, I'm working my way back thru SG1 now....did most of S7, now back to S6...some sort of anti-time wormhole? Must consult Carter :)

Andromeda was an interesting show... It had some truly great episodes, but as a whole there was so much lack of continuity that it got jarring after a while. For example, the writers never could figure out if the ship had an actual crew; sometimes it did, sometimes it didn't.

Andromeda would have been a lot better if someone could have kept Sorbo from writing in all the Captain Dylan Hunt takes his shirt off scenes in the later seasons.

So I just re-watched the season 3 episode Point of View. Where they do one of the alternate reality epsiodes. I love how Apophis had a goatee, making him the alternate universe Evil evil Apophis as opposed to the regular universe evil Apophis.

So many references to other shows. It's just great.

I loved the episode where they were stuck in an endless loop...drawing with ketchup on a plate, and taking the longest golf shot in the history of mankind (through the gate.)

I am a big Stargate fan, have all the seasons apart from SGU season 2. And I've watched them all more than once. But the worst of all things that happened was the end of SGA. I only have 2 words for the abomination "Wormhole Drive" I mean, WTF?!?!?!?! It seemed like SGA was going along fine, then they said "Right then, erm...... You've got to wrap this whole thing up in 2 episodes. Good luck" Ruined it.

SG-1 > SGA >>>>>>>> SGU (although it got better in season 2)
